We have two rather large garden centers in San Antonio, Texas and have been serving South Texans since 1976.  Rainbow Gardens history. Through the years, we've developed our park-like six acre sites into garden centers that offers more choices for the home gardener than any other garden center in south Central Texas.  Our park like atmosphere....Our professional staff has lots of experience helping novice and master gardeners alike.  We offer a diverse selection of plants and products that will make your garden experience complete. 

    Rainbow Gardens is passionate about plants.  We specialize in low water, low maintenance plants.  We offer adapted and native species that will work well in a wide variety of conditions.  We also offer plants you may not find anywhere else, plants that will make your landscape unique and interesting.  From designer daylilies to plants of the desert southwest, you can find it at Rainbow Gardens.  The Bandera road store carries a great selection of water plants and water garden supplies if you're ready to take the plunge.  Whether you want a home landscape that is easy to take care of or something out of the ordinary, we can help.

    Our encyclopedic signs give our customers what they need to know for the care, culture, and placement of most of the plants we sell.  Questions about light requirements, moisture needs, and soil modification are answered on each sign.  Additional information like blooming characteristics, fall leaf color, and average landscape size are also included.  Many of our antique rose signs give a brief history of the origin of the plant.  Our herb signs offer some history and tips on typical uses for the plants.

    A garden would not be complete without the personal touches that make it your own.  We have fountains and garden art, glazed and unglazed pottery by the container load directly imported from the Far East, paving materials, truckloads of bagged mulches and tons of bulk stone.  Whimsical gifts, wind chimes, birdhouses, birdfeeders, and so much more.  We have a wide variety of organic and chemical solutions to keep your garden in great shape and we'll tell you how to use these products for best results.  Our staff has almost 70 collective years of experience working at Rainbow Gardens!  We care about you and your garden.

Chocolate Daisy: Daisy-like flowers that smell of CHOCOLATE! June candy that doesn't melt in the sun. Native to Arizona. It reaches 12" to 18" tall and wide. Ideal for borders or a niche along the patio so that the chocolate fragrance will greet you. Yellow flowers with maroon centers bloom forth on fiddle shaped green leaves.
