The 2024 San Antonio Herb Market is being held this year at Rainbow Gardens Nursery on Bandera Road in San Antonio.
There will be a full program on herbs – how to grow, use, eat and just enjoy them, in a pot, in a shoebag, on your balcony or patio or in your garden!
There will be an area where your kids can begin their gardening adventure by potting their own herb to take home and care for.

Presented by: Men’s Garden Club
Begin the children’s adventure in gardening by potting their
own herb to take home and care for. The “Adopt an Herb”
booth encourages children to learn about gardening and
growing in a fun way!
10:00 am Growing Herbs
Presented by Liz Campanella, Uprooted Gardens
Be part of a lively discussion on growing herbs. Learn
which herbs grow well in this area, and the best way to
harvest them. Liz will guide you through the proper care for
herbs in our region.
11:00 am 2024 Herb of the Year: Yarrow
Presented by Leslie Bingham, Local Herb Expert
& Mary Dunford, Natures Herb Farm
In this session on Yarrow, Leslie will visit on its background
and many uses throughout history including some medicinal
thoughts. Learn to grow and care for Yarrow, as Mary
discusses the planting of perennials as companion plants.
Your results will be a beautiful garden attracting pollinators.

Heading into the cooler days of fall, let’s try some different
recipes! We begin with a Honey Chicken Salad with Sage,
one of our favorite fall herbs. Then we take on Cilantro
Pesto, using another cool weather herb that takes pasta to
another level. Follow with a bit of dessert with Herbal
Cookies, and see what happens when changing the herb
used in the recipe! Come and learn with us!
