Rainbow Gardens Donation Policy

Purpose

At Rainbow Gardens, we believe in giving back to our community by supporting programs that align with our mission: to inspire, educate, and connect people with plants, gardening, and the environment. Our donation efforts are focused on fostering community education and environmental stewardship.

Donation Guidelines

To ensure donations are impactful and aligned with our values, the following guidelines apply:

Who We Donate To

Donations will be considered for nonprofit organizations, schools, or community groups whose missions relate to at least one of the following:

  • Horticulture or gardening education
  • Environmental or sustainability education
  • School or community gardens
  • Native plant awareness and habitat restoration
  • Urban agriculture and green space initiatives

Note: Organizations must be located within our local community or surrounding areas and be able to demonstrate the educational purpose of the request.

Donation Limits

  • In-kind donations (plants, soil, seeds, gift cards, etc.) are limited to a maximum value of $50 per approved request.
  • Only one donation per organization per calendar year.

Monthly Capacity

  • We approve a maximum of 5 donation requests per month, on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Requests must be submitted at least 7 days in advance of the intended use or event date.

How to Request a Donation

  1. Complete the Rainbow Gardens Donation Request Form, available in-store or on our website.
  2. Include a brief description of your organization, how the donation will be used, and how it relates to education and gardening.
  3. Submit your form via email or in person.

Additional Notes

  • Approval is not guaranteed and is subject to availability and budget.
  • We may request photos or feedback after the event/use for promotional or educational purposes.
