Celebrating 50 Years of Growing Together at Rainbow Gardens

Rainbow Gardens is turning 50, and we want to celebrate with you! Our 5th Annual Society Saturday is shaping up to be our biggest yet—and in honor of this milestone year, the event will take place at both Rainbow Gardens locations.

Join us on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM for a vibrant, family-friendly community celebration that brings together local gardening societies, outdoor organizations, nature groups, and animal advocates—all in one place.

Society Saturday is a chance to:

• Meet local societies and community groups

• Discover programs, classes, and activities happening around town

• Learn from passionate experts and fellow enthusiasts

• Connect with like-minded organizations and individuals

Whether you’re curious about gardening, native plants, wildlife, conservation, or outdoor education, this event is designed to inspire learning, connection, and fun for all ages and abilities.

Family-Friendly Fun

Kids can grab a 50th Anniversary Saturday Stamp Card and collect stamps by visiting booths throughout the event. Once their card is complete, they’ll earn a FREE 4″ annual plant—a perfect way to grow the experience at home!

To mark 50 years of Rainbow Gardens, we’re adding even more excitement this year, including:

• Soft opening from 9-10

• Ribbon cutting and opening remarks from our local City Council Representatives at 10am

• Free giveaways and samples from product representatives

• Free tote bags (1 per family, while supplies last)

• Expert plant advice from our trusted growers

• Educational booths and hands-on learning opportunities

• A joyful atmosphere filled with celebration, community, and “free-bees”

• Free Food (beginning at 11:00, while supplies last)

• Face Painting

Our mission for our 50th Anniversary Celebration & Society Saturday 2026 is to honor the incredible community groups and customers who have helped Rainbow Gardens grow for five decades—while continuing to inspire collective efforts to learn about, care for, and protect our natural world.

We hope this event sparks new connections, builds lasting relationships, and continues to grow Society Saturday as a beloved community tradition.
